Brain Cancer Quality of Life Collaborative
Dr. Michael Hogarth is a faculty member in the UC San Diego Health Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) and serves as UC San Diego Health’s Clinical Research Information Officer (CRIO). He is also Director of Biomedical Informatics for the Altman Clinical Translational Research Institute (ACTRI) where he oversees a team providing informatics support for clinical research. He is involved in a number of biomedical informatics initiatives including the California Integrated Vital Records System (CalIVRS), the Athena Breast Health Network, the I-SPY2 adaptive breast cancer trial, the PCORI funded pSCANNER clinical data research network, and the California Precision Medicine Consortium (CaPMC).
Dr. Hogarth and his family have been personally affected by brain cancer. He has a strong interest in using health information technology to improve the quality of life of individuals with brain cancer.
